Mike Stollenwerk, owner of Fish, Little Fish, and Fathom Seafood House, is changing his stripes as a seafood connoisseur for one day to be a judge for the Philadelphia Cheese Experiment. On Sunday, June 5th, from Noon to 4pm, anyone and everyone can give their best renditions of cheese dishes including mac & cheese, cheese sandwiches, and cheese puffs. I have five friends coming in from Richmond and Boston this weekend, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we make three teams and try to take down the mac & cheese title. It’s only $10 to attend, which grants you as much cheese as you want and a Brooklyn Brewery beer. Yum, cheese & beer. Other judges include Tony Luke (Tony Luke’s), Emilio Mignucci (DiBruno’s Bros. Cheese), and Maria Valetta (SipsBitesandSites.com).
The prizes are awesome, charity is involved, and it’s a Philly Beer Week event. Go Go Go!
